Young actor Sushanth Singh Rajput has a mixed run in his career. It started with a bang with twin success in the year 2013. But, since then Sushanth is having a hit and a miss alternatively. His latest Chhichhore is a blockbuster.
However, Sushanth’s immediate next release won’t make it to cinemas. Drive is heading straight to Netflix. None other than the producer of the movie Karan Johar has confirmed the digital release.
When Drive was announced in 2017, it was the costliest film in the career of Sushanth Singh Rajput’s career. Jacqueline Fernandez was roped in the heroine. Tarun Mansukhani of cult flick Dostana was the director. Everything felt right on paper. Unfortunately, the final output didn’t impress the producer Karan Johar. Far from being impressed, he ordered reshoots which also weren’t close to his imagination.
Keeping the multiple delays and staleness of the project in mind, a digital release has been finalised. Even on this aspect, it is an excellent decision as Drive would be the next feature film of Sushanth after Chhichhore which might help Karan Johar get a better price as a producer. The official date of the premiere is yet to be announced.
