This afternoon, Disney Plus Hotstar dropped a pleasant surprise for its subscribers, as well as fans of popular youtuber Bhuvan Bam. The streaming giant posted a teaser for a new season of its hit show ‘Taaza Khabar’, along with a coming soon caption.
The teaser for Taaza Khabar Season 2 picks up the story from where it left off at the end of the first season. Primary protagonist Vasant ‘Vasya’ Gawade (Bhuvan Bam) is supposedly dead, after being assaulted brutally. But is he really dead? The Taaza Khabar teaser hints at the mystery surrounding the murder, when he is in fact alive. Bam comments in the voiceover about how life is so strange – it begins with death sometimes.
For those who don’t know, Disney Plus Hotstar’s Taaza Khabar marked the OTT debut of the prominent YouTuber Bhuvan Bam. He plays the protagonist, Vasant ‘Vasya’ Gawade, in the series, a poor sanitation worker, who stumbles upon a miraculous superpower that allows him to turn his fortunes around. It is a rags-to-riches story with just enough twists and turns to keep you hooked.
Apart from Bhuvan Bam, Taaza Khabar 2 will see the return of all the primary cast members, including Mahesh Manjrekar, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Deven Bhojani, Shilpa Shukla, among others. Taaza Khabar 2, like the debut season, is written by Hussain Dalal and Abbas Dalal, directed by Himank Gaur, and produced by Bhuvan Bam’s production company, BB Ki Vines.
