Taj: Divided By Blood is the new series at Zee5. The series is based on the aftermath of Akbar getting old and his children fighting amongst themselves for the throne.
Needless to say, the concept is very intriguing and could be a great binge-watch if it were executed in a good manner. But things didn’t work out that way and it is already done up.
Regular readers of Binged are aware that Zee5 has completely messed up the promotional campaign of the series. They didn’t promote it well and completely wasted an opportunity that could have been great in every possible sense.
But those mess-ups do not seem to have ended. This time, the limitation has come up in the streaming of the series. A few months back, Zee5 Global head Archana Anand talked about the strategies that are helping them create a dedicated customer base in International markets, particularly the USA.
But, surprise surprise.
Taj: Divided By Blood is not even streaming in the USA let alone gaining any positive response. The series must have premiered in the USA as soon as it started streaming in India but due to unknown reasons, this couldn’t happen.
The reason it is problematic, things get lost in time. Although the series is not very buzzy per se, it would already be forgotten by the time it arrives in the USA.
