If you happen to be a kid from the 90s or the 2000s then it is probably very difficult to not be influenced by Takeshi’s Castle. The Japanese show was all the rage amongst school kids.
Takeshi’s Castle was a Japanese game show that gained popularity in India during the early 2000s. It was originally created in Japan and featured contestants attempting various wacky and challenging obstacle courses. The Indian version, which aired on Pogo TV, was hosted by Javed Jaffrey. It became a cult hit among Indian audiences, primarily due to its humorous and entertaining nature.
But now, Prime Video is bringing a show on that with the voice over of popular YouTuber Bhuvan Bam. Needless to say, he is one of the biggest names among the Indian creators of YouTube, and he may do a good job. It’ll be interesting to see how they dub the show because to overcome the nostalgia associated with Javed Jaffrey is going to be a challenge.
Anyways, the teaser of the show is very very funny and it is everything people love Bhuvan Bam for. According to the teaser, Bhuvan Bam will dub the show because he failed to pay the loan of the Japanese.
The show is set to be released on November 2. Let’s wait to see how it actually is.
