‘Jigarthanda DoubleX’ is written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj. It is a prequel of his 2014 hit film, Jigarthanda. The film stars S.J.Suryah and Raghava Lawrence in lead roles, along with Nimisha Sajayan, Naveen Chandra, and Shine Tom Chacko in key roles.
Quite like the first film Jigarthanda, its prequel also centres on a notorious gangster and a filmmaker, who get together to make a Western action drama film. The endeavour leads to hilarious shenanigans and thrilling action. The film is set in the India of the seventies, when Westerns were all the rage.
Tamil film ‘Jigarthanda DoubleX’ will premiere on Netflix on 8th December, in multiple Indian languages, namely Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.
