‘Por Thozhil’ stars Tamil actors Sarath Kumar and Ashok Selvan as cops, who race against time to get to the bottom of the mystery behind brutal serial murders taking place in their vicinity. One is a rookie cop, held back by his fears. The other is a battle-hardened senior cop, cynical and reclusive. In the central plot of ‘Por Thozhil’, the two must collaborate on the disturbing case, if they have to stop the unhinged serial killer in his tracks.
Nikhila Vimal and Nizhalgal Ravi also star in ‘Por Thozhil’ in pivotal roles. Vignesh Raja has directed the film, from a screenplay written by Alfred Prakash. ‘Por Thozhil’ has been produced by Sameer Nair, Deepak Segal, Mukesh R Mehta, CV Sarathi, Poonam Mehra and Sandeep Mehra, under the banners of Applause Entertainment, E4 Experiments and Epirus Studio.
The official synopsis for ‘Por Thozhil’ reads,
“An academically bright but faint-hearten rookie cop needs to man up and overcome his fears in order to succeed in his very first assignment-team up with a hostile and reclusive senior cop to catch a serial killer on the loose”.
‘Por Thozhil’ premieres in theaters on 9th June, 2023. The film will stream on SonyLIV once it’s done with its theatrical run, most likely 28 days after release, that is on 7th July, 2023.
