The film is a family drama and it is directed by R. Kannan. It is the official remake of the 2021 Malayalam movie of the same name. The Great Indian Kitchen is going to stream on Zee5 from the 3rd of March.
The Great Indian Kitchen stars Aishwarya Rajesh and Rahul Ravindran in the lead roles. The original version had Nimisha Sajayan and Suraj Venjaramoodu as the lead actors. Director Jeo Baby who has made quite popular films like his recent ‘Kaathal: The Core’ had directed the Malayalam movie that gained immense popularity. The Great Indian Kitchen is unparalleled in its storytelling style and execution. It has some great music by Jerry Silvester Vincent. The beautiful Cinematography is handled by Balasubramaniem.
The film tells the story of a young newly wed wife who comes to the house of her in-laws and tries to be what her husband and other family members want her to be. She tries to be submissive and tries to fit into the conventional image of a conservative wife but soon finds out that this is not the life she wanted. She changes herself and her in-law film as well to a very different direction. Aishwarya Rajesh has done a very good job in the film.
