Tarantino’s The Movie Critic Gets A Depressing Update!

Passion is usually the driving force of almost every great artist. One such man who starts talking like an excited 7 year old kid about cinema is Quentin Tarantino. The man is one of the most influential filmmakers alive and has some exceptionally great films in his filmography despite directing only 9 films.

Quentin Tarantino had big plans for his last movie, “The Movie Critic,” but he’s changing course. Originally, it was going to be set in 1977 California, inspired by a grumpy critic Tarantino knew from his youth. Then it shifted gears to possibly continue the story from “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” with Brad Pitt’s character, Cliff Booth. But now, Tarantino’s decided to scrap the whole thing.

Even though “The Movie Critic” didn’t have a studio backing it, people were guessing Sony might pick it up, since they released “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.”

Tarantino’s always said he wants to stop directing after his tenth film to keep his record clean. He doesn’t want a bad movie to ruin his legacy. Even though he’s stepping back from movies, he’s not done being creative. He might try writing books or getting into TV shows or theatre. However, movies are the reason we all love him the most.

So, even though we won’t get to see “The Movie Critic,” there’s still a lot to look forward to from Quentin Tarantino.
