Captaincy options

A total of 590 players have registered for the auction including established international stars to uncapped players. For teams like Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders, this event is expected to be significant as these teams have not named their captain for the upcoming season. Out of the available players, Shreyas Iyer and David Warner are expected to be the top captaincy option.

Change in title sponsorship

We also have a change in the title sponsor to mark this new phase of the domestic T20 league. The Tata Group will replace Chinese mobile manufacturer Vivo as the Indian Premier League’s title sponsor for the next two years.
