Teaser Talk: Khali Peeli Looks Like An Actioned-Packed Entertainer!

Ali Abbas Zafar’s Khaali Peeli becomes the latest Bollywood film to go straight to digital. It will skip cinemas and release directly on OTT, ZEE5 Premium to be specific. Zee Studios, the producers of Khaali Peeli dropped its first teaser on YouTube this morning. And it has all the makings of a action-packed entertainer, just like Ali Abbas Zafar’s earlier blockbusters, Tiger Zinda Hai, Gunday, Sultan and several more.

Khaali Peeli stars young, upcoming talent Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Pandey, along with seasoned actor Jaideep Ahlawat. The teaser reveals Ishaan’s badass taxi driver avatar. He’s sassy, he’s snarky, and he drives a taxi with the number plate 6969 – go figure! Into his taxi, one night, arrives a girl — Ananya Pandey — on the run with a bag full of valuables and tons of bad guys after her.

The action sequences are shot with a tinge of irreverent humour – they’re fun, as well as thrilling. The teaser gives hint of the pace, humour and dialogues of Khaali Peeli — all entertaining, in an over the top way.

We didn’t catch sight of Jaideep Ahlawat in the teaser – maybe his look and character reveal is reserved for the longer trailer, whenever it is released.

Khaali Peeli has been conceived by Ali Abbas Zafar, directed by Maqbool Khan, and produced by Zee Studios, along with Ali Abbas Zafar and Himanshu Kishan Mehra.
