Zee5 is on a thriller spree and ‘Nail Polish’ is the latest addition to it. The Arjun Rampal and Manav Kaul starrer legal thirller’s first look is all things dark, intriguing and mysterious. A Zee5 original film Nail Polish is all set for release on 01st January 2021.
The teaser video of Nail Polish, released by Zee5, gives a sneak peek into the suspense-filled courtroom drama which begins with Sid Jaisingh (Arjun Rampal), a high profile defence lawyer, drowning his face in a puddle of water. As soon as he opens his eyes the scene switches to a bare bodied Veer Singh (Manav Kaul) who looks pretty unstable with all that drool coming out of his mouth.
What follows are moving images of certain lead characters of Nail Polish. Whether it’s Madhoo Shah’s lipstick being smudged while she screams or Anand Tiwari with a joker’s nose looking tensed while on a call or Rajit Kapoor sitting behind a table in a judge’s attire, everyone looks quite intense.
Towards the end of the teaser we can see glass shattering on the floor, Arjun Rampal running in a hospital corridor, someone with blood stained feet being dragged and a hand with nails painted in bright red toying with a crystal paper weight. It ends with Rampal’s voiceover hinting on the film’s theme, “The mind commits the crime, while the body takes the blame.”
Nail Polish follows the story of highly respected man Veer Singh (Manav Kaul) who gets accused of killing two migrant children. The murder trial takes a toll on him mentally and his mind gets split into two personalities. In this unique courtroom drama “the back story and the court proceedings are seamlessly interwoven into a journey of criminal discovery that leaves the audience guessing till the very end”.
The starcast of Zee5’s Nail Polish includes talented actors like Arjun Rampal, Manav Kaul, Anand Tiwari, Rajit Kapoor, Madhoo Shah, Samreen Kaur, Tarul Swami and more.
Nail Polish is a Zee5 original film directed by Bugs Bhargava Krishna ((Taare Zameen Par, Delhi Belly) and produced by Pradeep Uppoor, Seema Mohapatra, Jahanara Bhargava of Ten Years Younger Productions in association with Dhirajj Vinodd Kapoor. They have reunited for “Nail Polish” after their successful collab for the Amit Sadh starrer Zee5 thriller film “Barot House” last year.
Nail Polish will release only on Zee5 on 1st January, 2021.
