The filming of Ted Lasso Season 3 will commence next month. One of the stars of the show, Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca Welton), has confirmed this piece of news via her recent interview with Variety. Her character becomes the new owner of AFC Richmond in the first season. At first, she wanted to ruin the team for good as her ex-husband loved it too much. However, she begins to develop good feelings for the team after seeing Ted’s kind and compassionate persona.
Waddingham has affirmed that the production work for the upcoming season will begin soon. Also, her entire team is expected to reconvene on March 7. Here’s what she said about the forthcoming entry to Variety:
“We haven’t started filming. We’re kind of doing our prep for it at the moment. And that’s a lot more time-consuming than most people think. It’s like getting a load of plates spinning in the right direction again. […] I think we reconvene around the seventh of March. We’re all absolutely champing at the bit, it feels like it’s been an awful long time.”
The actress is now a member of Disney+’s Hocus Pocus 2 as well. The highly anticipated sequel will arrive soon on the streaming platform.
The show revolves around an inexperienced coach, Ted Lasso, who gets recruited to train AFC Richmond, an English Premier League team. Jason Sudeikis plays the leading role in the show. Apart from him, we have Hannah Waddingham, Jeremy Swift, Phil Dunster, Brett Goldstein, Brendan Hunt, Juno Temple, and many more.
