The first look poster of ‘Tekka’ is finally revealed today. The poster features Dev a.k.a Deepak Adhikary with a gloomy look and a shabby shirt holding a broom and the frame has doodles making it similar to a solitaire card.
It is being directed by Srijit Mukherjee who is definitely the one filmmaker from the Bengali industry that people look up to for original stories. After multiple engaging movies in Bollywood like ‘Sherdil’, ‘Begum Jaan’ he has made his fanbase quite strong and his first collaboration with superstar Dev is one of the main attractions for the movie.
‘Tekka’ will be clashing with ‘Bohurupi’ which is another anticipated title as it stars Abir Chatterjee and is coming from the hit director duo Shiboprosad and Nandita. It is an action thriller and we have seen what Srijit Mukherjee can do in thrillers multiple times. Tekka has an edge over Bohurupi in terms of pre-promotion anticipation but there are several other factors that might affect the film. Dev, the leading star is also a member of parliament from the ruling party in West Bengal which has been subjected to huge protests recently. There have been several rallies against Dev as well and it might affect the film negatively whereas Bohurupi does not have any such problems.
