Kavi Samrat, the telugu language biopic on One of the most prolific 20th Century writers from Telugu : Viswanatha Satyanarayana (10 September 1895 – 18 October 1976) will directly premiere on Aha. The streaming platform acquired direct digital rights of the and would stream on the platform from this weekend, i.e 22nd October.
Viswanatha Satyanarayana’s works included poetry, novels, plays, short stories and speeches that covered a wide range of subjects such as history, Philosophy,religion, sociology, Political science, linguistics, psychology and consciousness. He was also awarded the Jnanapith Award in 1970, the first for a Telugu writer, and Padma Bhushan in 1971. The official biopic on the literary behemoth was due release at the theatres months ago. But the makers opted for a direct digital release owing to the nature of the film. However, the film promises to be a treat for telugu literary enthusiasts and fans of the legendary writer for it is a deep up close and personal look at the writer’s life.
Veteran writer, director and actor LB Sriram marks his digital debut with Kavi Samrat. Kavi Samrat also stars noted lyricist Ramajogaiah Sastry, producer Raj Kandukuri, Sree Anvesh, Ananth, Swapna, Rakhi Ayyanger, and others in key roles.
