Telugu language comedy entertainer ‘Shikaaru‘ to stream on Aha Video from July 29th. The movie is directed by Hari Kolagani and is Tamil actress Sai Dhansika‘s Telugu debut. Shikaaru released at the movies on 1st July to positive critical reception, mainly for the comedy elements in the movie.
The film follows four final year Engineering students in Kakinada. Bobby(played by Abhinav Medishetty) is a bright student who meets Devika (played by Sai Dhansika), a married woman one day. Devika is pretty much dissatisfied with her marital life. She asks Bobby to come over to her house and when he does, Devika’s husband (played by Kishore) comes home from duty. How Bobby and his friends help him escape forms the crux of the film.
The film was not a big success at the box-office, but the humour in the film was really appreciated by the audience and critics alike. A decent comedy outing that ends with a message, the critics also appreciated Sai Dhansika for her performance in the film.
Shikaaru stars Sai Dhansika, Abhinav Medisetty, Tej kurapati, Dheeraj Aathreya, Navakanth in prominent roles. Kishore, Annapuranamma, Surekha Vani, Chammak Chandra and many others play supporting parts. The music of Shikaaru is composed by Shekar Chandra while cinematography is done by Vasili Shyam Prasad. Venkateswara Rao Srungavarapu is the editor of the film. Shikaaru is bankrolled is by PSR Kumar under Sri Sai Lakshmi Creations banner.
