Critically acclaimed Telugu horror film ‘Masooda’ is coming onto OTT via Aha Video after its run at the box office. Receiving golden reviews from theatre-going audiences as well, this movie is not your normal horror film with few jump-cut scares, but a “true-blue horror film”.
The supernatural horror thriller made a huge splash amongst the audience when it was released. While the film took off slowly, the huge chatter regarding the film on social media gave it good traction. Positive word-of-mouth becoming its biggest marketing, the film is written and directed by debutant Sai Kiran.
The synopsis of the movie is: “The simple lives of Neelam, a single mother, and Nazia, her daughter, take a horrific turn when an evil force(Masooda) enters into their lives. The story revolves around how Gopi, their helpful neighbour, and Neelam face the odds and save Nazia.
Masooda was a witch who used her husband to do black magic. After her brother-in-law kills her, she becomes a ghost. In the present, Nazia finding Masooda’s bracelet and wearing it allowed Masooda to enter her body, starting the horrifying events in the film.”
‘Masooda’ was produced by Rahul Yadav Nakka through Swadharm Entertainment. The film features Sangeetha, Thiruveer, Kavya Kalyan Ram and Subhalekha Sudhakar in primary roles and was released on 18 November 2022.
