The Telugu thriller HIT 3, starring Nani, is most probably set to release on Netflix on June 5. After a decent run in theatres, where it managed to earn profits despite a few bumps along the way, the film is now making its way to OTT screens. While the movie had a strong opening, it couldn’t quite hold that momentum through the week, but still ended up doing well enough at the box office to be called a success.
The film is the third part of the HIT series and is directed by Sailesh Kolanu. Nani plays a tough and intense cop named Arjun Sarkaar who dives into a dangerous case in Arunachal Pradesh. Alongside him is a solid cast, including Srinidhi Shetty in her Telugu debut. The movie explores a dark crime ring and has its fair share of twists and turns.
However, not everything about the movie went down well with everyone. Many viewers and critics pointed out loopholes in the story, things that didn’t quite add up. In theatres, most people seemed to let those things slide, probably because the fast pace and visuals kept them entertained. But with its digital release, there’s a good chance the flaws might come into sharper focus. OTT audiences tend to be more detail-oriented, and watching at home gives people time to pause and think.
Still, for fans of thrillers and Nani, HIT 3 might be worth a watch, even if just to see what all the talk is about.
