Not much sports-related content has found its way towards streaming platforms to date and the presence of this modern-day tennis legend may just bring about a welcome change. We’re talking about the number-one tennis player in the world Novak Djokovic, who is now coming up with a web series that’ll have him relook at his emphatic journey. Titled Novak for Real, the sportsman had released the first episode of the same earlier this week. (Link: https://www.instagram.com/tv/ByPFvS2nbWg)
The brief video has Djokovic looking back at his childhood where he revealed the key figures who shaped his sports career. In the video, he had stated that Michael Jordan, Pete Sampras and skier Alberto Tomba were his earliest idols in the game. He also had revealed about his fascination for clay and how he saw the French Open as the biggest goal in his pursuit of excellence.
He cheekily added, “One thing that I always remembered from watching Roland Garros was the famous ‘Ba ba da da da da dat duh da dah—olé! I remember that very well because I didn’t understand any French or English at that time, but I understood the sounds.”
