After much wait there’s finally an update on Vijay’s upcoming yet to be titled film #Thalapathy66 just a couple of days before his birthday. The makers have unveiled a new poster of the film and also revealed that #Thalapathy66 first look will be out on 21st June, 2022 at 6:01 PM.
The black and white poster features Vijay with a back pack looking ready for a journey or a hike. While there’s only his side view, full first look for #Thalapathy66 will be available on 21st June.

#Thalapathy66 is indeed a very crucial film for writer and director Vamshi Paidipally (‘Maharshi’, ‘Munna’, ‘Yevadu’, ‘Oopiri’) who is mostly known for his work in Telugu film industry and is now making his Tamil film debut. Paidipally hasn’t been in good form for quite a time now and even though his last film ‘Maharshi’ (2019) did great and won National Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment, he has been off the radar for a couple of years.
Luckily he has Vijay on board for #Thalapathy66 who is one such superstar that can not only enable Paidipally to have a splendid come back but also take the film to great heights.
Needless to say the bigger load now lies on Vijay’s shoulders to make #Thalapathy66 a success. And he would need all the help from the technical and marketing team to make it all happen. Right from the first look, title, to teaser and trailer everything has to be bang on to create the hype and moreover, remove any speculations and doubts whatsoever. Hopefully #Thalapathy66 will be what all Vijay fans have been waiting for.
#Thalapathy66 is touted to be an action, comedy and drama filled family entertainer. Apart from Vijay the film stars Rashmika Mandanna in the lead. S. Thaman is the music composer for #Thalapathy66 that is produced by Dil Raju and Shirish under Sri Venkateswara Creations banner.
