Anasuya Bhardwaj’s next, Thank you Brother will be skipping its theatrical release and will directly release on Regional Telugu Exclusive OTT Platform, Aha Video on May 7th. Ramesh Raparthi, the director of the film has an interesting background. Not may know that this is his second film after making his debut with a film titled Race in 2013. He has a very interesting career even before that.
He moved to Nigeria in 2008 and started a film school where he taught cinematography and editing. He also set up a film department at the American University of Nigeria. He made films as well as Television shows there. The filmmaker even went on to get a few awards there.
It is interesting to note that Thank you Brother in fact is inspired by a Nigerian film. Thank You Brother is the story of a spoiled brat and an expected mother who is stuck in an elevator during the Corona Lockdown with no lift technicians available. What happens next when the pregnant lady’s waters break forms the crux of the story. It is a thriller which happens in twelve hours span. Thank you Brother is the first Telugu film to have opted for a direct online release in COVID Second Wave.
