The ICC World Cup 2019 was undoubtedly one of the best things that could have happened to the game, especially when many were doubting about the shelf-life of the 50 over format. The final between New Zealand and England was everything that genuine cricket fanatic would have hoped for, a game that went down to the wire as England were crowned winners for the first time in 50-over World Cup history.
Though many fans have been divided in the fairness of ICC’s rules pertaining to the decision of the winner for the super over, we’re sure no will have anything to point out about the terrific uninterrupted service that Hotstar has gone onto providing for fans this season. Their commentary across several languages including Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Bengali in addition to the dug-out option gave so much choice to the average regional user.
It has been the first-ever Cricket World Cup where a streaming service has enabled mobile users, TV users an option beyond mainstream television telecast without any glitches. This is something that could cement the position of Hostar for a long time to come. It has been a win-win situation for viewers and Hotstar alike and we couldn’t have been any happier!
