Tharun Bhascker’s Digital Sequel to His Film

Director Tharun Bhascker’s films exude an indie, free-spirited vibe that has made them a hit among youngsters. And they naturally suit the digital medium too for their new age, contemporary vibe. Looks like the director has realised this aspect himself and is reportedly planning a digital sequel to his film Ee Nagaraniki Emaindi.

The 2018 release, though not a huge commercial success, was widely appreciated for its attempt to blend raw humour, romance, friendship and millennial concerns in its well-layered story. The film featured Viswak Sen, Abhinav Gomatam, Anisha Ambrose in lead roles, with most protagonists boasting of interesting, quirky character arcs.

Currently, the director’s team is writing a web series sequel to the same, though the platform on which it will premiere is unknown. Meanwhile, it is already news that Tharun, Nandini Reddy, Sankalp Reddy and Sandeep Vanga are part of the team for a Netflix Telugu web series similar to Lust Stories.
