‘The Apprentice’ New Trailer Shows Sebastian Stan As Donald Trump

“You have to be willing to do anything to anyone to win!” We hear Jeremy Strong’s Roy Cohn saying this to Sebastian Stan’s Donald Trump in the latest trailer for ‘The Apprentice’, the upcoming biopic on the former US president, businessman, and undoubtedly one of the most controversial figures in human history. The movie follows Trump in his early years, depicting his rise to fame and his time learning from Cohn, an influential right-wing lawyer and political fixer.

Briarcliff Entertainment has released the trailer, showcasing a unique blend of 1970s and 80s filming styles. The clip heavily promotes the controversial protagonist’s win-at-whatever-the-cost mindset, with a particular focus on how Cohn influenced him in his early years of growth and prominence. We also see glimpses of Maria Bakalova’s Ivana Trump in the trailer.

As per the official logline, ‘The Apprentice’ is an exploration of “the underbelly of the American empire.” Helmed by Ali Abbasi, the film’s story comes from Gabe Sherman. It had its global premiere at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, where it received mostly positive reviews. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film currently stands with a ‘fresh’ score of 75% based on 53 certified reviews.

The rest of The Apprentice’s cast includes talents such as Martin Donovan (Fred Trump), Ben Sullivan (Russell Eldridge), Charlie Carrick (Fred Trump Jr.), Mark Rendall (Daniel Sullivan), and Joe Pingue (Anthony Salerno). Check out the new trailer below!
