‘The Boys’ Actor Jensen Ackles to Star in a Secret DC Project

Television heartthrob Jensen Ackles has recently revealed through ‘Inside of You With Michael Rosenbaum’ podcast interview that he has been involved with a secret DC project backed by Warner Bros and that it is currently in the works. The exciting revelation was made when the ‘Supernatural’ actor was asked to comment on a Marvel or DC project that he will be most interested in being a part of.

Jensen Ackles had stated that “Well, there is a DC property that I’m currently developing right now with Warner Bros. and some other good partners that I’ve got my fingers crossed for. Again, I’m not going to talk about it cause you don’t want to jinx it.”

So, it’s apparent from his statement that the actor is in no mood to spill the beans about more details for the secret DC project like what DC role or character is he talking about and whether the project is going to be set in a movie or a web series format, etc.

This is not the first time the Texas-born actor will be a part of a DC project. Previously, Ackles had lent his voice for the 2010 animated superhero movie ‘Batman: Under the Red Hood’ as Jason Todd/Red Hood, another DC superhero series ‘Smallville’, and most recently in the two-part animated movie ‘Batman: The Long Halloween’ where he had voiced for the titular role of Bruce Wayne/Batman.

Jensen Ackles, who shot to worldwide fame by starring in Eric Kripke’s long-running and recently concluded fantasy drama series ‘Supernatural’, will continue his tryst with the superhero genre as the 47-year-old actor will also be seen in the third season of the highly anticipated superhero show ‘The Boys’. He will be portraying the role of the Soldier Boy character who wants to join the coveted group of corrupt superheroes – the Seven.
