The Boys Season 4 Release: Eric Kripke Gives A Positive Update

After enjoying the explosive finale of Gen V on Prime Video, fans are desperately waiting for The Boys Season 4. Creator Eric Kripke has given an optimistic update about the fourth season’s release window. The highly acclaimed superhero series was renewed in June last year.

Kripke gave a positive update about Season 4’s release window in a recent interview with Variety. He disclosed that the majority of the editing process has been completed. In addition, his team is “deep into the music and visual effects”.

Check out his full statement here!

“Most of the editing is done, we’re now deep into the music and visual effects. Marketing is starting to taxi their planes on the runway. There’s a lot happening behind the scenes of “The Boys” Season 4, I can say that.”

Gen V shows how deeply it is connected to The Boys. We watched numerous characters from the latter project appear in the recently concluded spinoff, including Victoria Neuman, Soldier Boy, Billy Butcher, and Homelander. The events of Gen V may get used in the upcoming fourth season as well.

The finale also showed Butcher investigating the Woods’ ruins, probably to find traces of the “supe virus”. This scene kind of teases the character’s comic book ending. In the comics, Butcher tries to get his hands on a powerful biological weapon to eradicate a large number of supes. Season 4 may explore the side effects of the virus. We also know that a sample of that deadly virus is now in the possession of Neuman. She got them after killing Dr Cardosa.

The opening episode of The Boys Season 4 is titled “Department of Dirty Tricks”, which is helmed by Phil Sgriccia. Season 4 stars Karl Urban, Antony Starr, Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chase Crawford, and more talents. Considering Eric Kripke’s recent statement, the early 2024 release date is still on the table. Stay tuned for more updates.
