A-Train is one of the key members of The Seven in Prime Video’s The Boys series. But he was kept mostly on the sidelines in Season 3. The primary reason behind this scenario was his failing heart. In the third season, he uses her superspeed to kill Blue Hawk. However, this event leads to his heart failure. As a result, Vought is left with no alternative but to replace A-Train’s failed heart with Blue Hawk’s, ultimately saving the former’s life. This may force him to seek redemption in The Boys Season 4.
Like most of the supes in The Seven, A-Train is no good at all. Yes, he is not as ruthless and psychotic as his leader, Homelander, but he does possess some darkness in his soul. He is, without a doubt, a selfish supe who only cares about himself. The pilot episode of the series shows A-Train running mindlessly into Hughie’s girlfriend, leading to her gruesome demise. His global fame as one of the members of The Seven makes him egoistic. He even forgets about his people and background.
Despite his terrible behaviour in The Boys, there are still a large number of Black people who look up to A-Train. Vought also realises that, which is why the corporation constantly supports him despite all his mistakes, all in the name of ‘diversity’. He actively supports the systems that are responsible for suppressing his people, the Black people.
According to some rumours, The Boys Season 4 may focus extensively on A-Train’s redemption. After having his heart transplant surgery, he has a change of heart. Despite all his mistakes and crimes, it seems like Eric Kripke and his team will try to find some sympathy for the controversial supe in the upcoming season. The Boys may force the viewers to feel something for A-Train in the next season. Let’s see if he makes amends in the future. Stay tuned for more updates.
