Paramount+ has officially revealed the cast of ‘The Doll Factory’ now. The production house ‘Buccaneer Media’ that has already produced ‘Marcella’, ‘Crime’ and ‘Whitstable Pearl’ will be producing the show. Cineflix Rights, which is a partner of Buccaneer Media, is attached as the international distributor.
Sacha Polak is on board as the director of ‘The Doll Factory’. Suzaane McAuley will be co-producing the show and Julie Harkin has acted as the casting director. Sacha Polak has given the industry wonderful hits like ‘Hannah’, ‘Zurich’, ‘Broer’, ‘Hemel’ and ‘Dirty God’. So there are high hopes with this show.
The thriller will be based on the best-selling novel of the same name written by Elizabeth Macneal. The novel tells the story of two sisters who paint dolls for a living in 19th century London. There is an ambitious taxidermist Silas and a painter Louis who waits for his muse. One of the sisters gets an opportunity to escape her monotonous and painful life but she has to leave her sister alone for that. This is the collaboration of debutant author Elizabeth Macneal with first time screenwriter Charley Miles.
Esmé Creed-Miles and Mirren Mack play the two sisters, Éanna Handwicke plays Silas, the taxidermist. And George Webster plays the painter Louis. Additional cast includes Pippa Haywood, Sharlene Whyte, newcomer Reece Kenwyne-Mpudzi, Freddy Carter from Shadow and Bone, Saoirse Monica Jackson, Laurie Kynaston from The Sandman, Jim Caesar and Akshay Khanna in other important roles.
Fans are excited about the release of the show. The best-selling book already has a pre-existing fanbase and it is supposed to have a good reception from the audiences. ‘The Doll Factory’ will be streamed on Voot in India. Watch the thriller with your friends and family once it releases in India.
