Critics are sharing their first reactions to David Leitch’s The Fall Guy on social media after the film’s recent SXSW premiere. They have declared the upcoming Ryan Gosling starrer a sure blockbuster.
Gosling plays stuntman Colt Seavers in The Fall Guy, who joins a film’s production after recovering from a career-ending accident. Soon, he discovers that his ex-girlfriend, Jody (Emily Blunt), is helming the project. Things take a wild turn after Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), the star of Jody’s movie, goes missing. This forces Colt to find Ryder, solve a conspiracy, and try to win back Jody’s love.
As expected, The Fall Guy belongs to Gosling. The Barbie fame managed to steal all the spotlight in the film. There’s no denying that he is the best thing about the latest David Leitch action comedy. In addition, his chemistry with Emily Blunt received praise from critics.
Directed by David Leitch, The Fall Guy stars Ryan Gosling, Emily Blunt, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Winston Duke, Hannah Waddingham, Stephanie Hsu, and more. The film is inspired by ABC’s TV series (1981-86) of the same name, created by Glen A. Larson.
