A 4K Restored Version of the cult classic film ‘The Fall’ is going to be re-released soon. Mubi is going to bring the 2006 film back in several countries like the USA, Canada, UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Latin American states, Italy, Turkey, Benelux and India.
‘The Fall’ is an arthouse film directed by Tarsem singh and written by himself along with Dan Gilroy and Nico Soultanakis. Starring actors like Lee Pace, Catinca Untaru and Justine Waddell in the leading roles, ‘The Fall’ is a fantasy adventure drama. The movie is set in Los Angeles of the 1920s. It tells the story of a little girl named Alexandria, who is admitted in the hospital for a broken arm. A new patient comes to the hospital and befriends Alexandria. Roy Walker, the new patient, is an injured movie stuntman. He tells the stories of fantastical heroes, evil monsters and their legends.
The screenplay of ‘The Fall’ was from Dan Gilroy and Nico Soultanakis and it was presented by none other than David Fincher. The movie boasts of awesome visuals, the credit going to cinematographer Colin Watkinson. And it also has some beautiful music by Krishna Levy.
The movie was shot in twenty eight countries for 4 years. The movie was appreciated by critics and audiences but was a box office failure. After premiering in the Locarno Film Festival this year, it will also be streaming on Mubi subsequently.
