Warner Bros has dropped the official trailer of ‘The Flash’, starring Ezra Miller. Helmed by Andy Muschietti, the film treasures Sasha Calle, Ron Livingston, Ben Affleck, Michael Keaton, Michael Shannon, and many more, apart from the leading man. DC fans are over the moon as they are excited about the on-screen return of Affleck and Keaton as The Caped Crusaders. However, many people are wondering about Shannon’s inclusion in the upcoming WB project. How General Zod fits in ‘The Flash’? Let’s find out!
We all know that Miller’s Barry Allen will travel back in time to save his mother, Nora Allen. However, his actions trap him in an alternate reality, affecting the entire Multiverse. When it comes to Flash, exploring or messing up with time and space becomes common. We may even see The Scarlet Speedster visiting some of the most important events of the past, including the epic fight between General Zod and Superman (Henry Cavill). According to many reports, Barry’s actions will somehow save the former. Zod may survive his fight against the Man of Steel. This scenario will force Barry to team up a version of himself from another timeline, Keaton’s Batman, and Sasha Calle, aka Supergirl, against Zod. Fans may even witness a showdown between Zod and Supergirl.
‘The Flash’ has opened the doors of the Multiverse for the DC universe, serving as a tool to reboot the entire DCEU and start a new chapter for James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DCU. Undoubtedly, it is one of the most ambitious DC projects ever, despite Miller’s recent controversies.
Does Michael Shannon have only a cameo appearance in the upcoming Ezra Miller starrer? Or will he have a full-fledged role as Zod? But we are sure about one thing: the DCEU will suffer long-time consequences because of his actions. ‘The Flash’ will release globally on June 16. Stay tuned for more updates.
