The Flash Movie Begins Production: Director Andy Muschietti Teases The Logo

After years of spending in development hell, finally the scarlet speedster is getting his own film and its well on-course. The Flash movie has finally begun production and director Andy Muschietti took to his instagram to reveal the signature flashy logo of the Superhero film marking the day one of the production.

Since his first appearance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016, Barry Allen aka The Flash’s character, portrayed by Ezra Miller, was uncertain on whether or not he would get the nod from the producers for a solo film. Meanwhile the character appeared in Suicide Squad, Justice League and very recently in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, where he played a very significant role in terms of the outcome of the film.

Now, with Andy Muschietti, himself confirming the news of the film going on floors is a great matter of joy because a few days back, Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton were in the talks to feature in this movie as Batman from different dimensions. The Flash reportedly will feature Keaton and Affleck’s Batman characters who will join Miller in a storyline inspired by DC crossover Flashpoint.

Apart from Ezra Miller, Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton, The Flash will also feature Sasha Calle as Supergirl, Kiersey Clemons as Barry’s love interest Iris West who was previously featured in Zack Snyder’s Justice League as the same character along with Ron Livingston and Maribel Verdú as Barry’s parents, as Henry and Nora Allen.

We are yet to receive an update on the exact story-arc but as mentioned earlier, Andy Muschietti, who previously directed 2017 Horror film IT, will take the reference from Flashpoint storyline with the screenplay being written by Christina Hodson.

Now, how Ezra Miller‘s The Flash collides with Joss Whedon’s Justice League or Zack Snyder’s Synderverse, will definitely be a spectacle to be seen.

The Flash is currently on-course for a 4th November, 2022 release. Check out Muschietti’s original Instagram post below:
