There will soon be a Series adaptation for the novel ‘The Future Of Jaded Women’. Reportedly Universal Television and Heyday Television acquired the rights for the adaptation in a market that was very competitive about acquiring it. The book is written by Carolyn Huynh; she and Bekah Brunstetter will be adapting the show.

This makes it the second novel adaptation rights acquired by Heyday in a month. Earlier, the company bought the rights of Gillian MacAllister’s best-seller novel ‘Just Another Missing Person’.

‘The Fortune Of Jaded Women’ came out in 2022 and went on to be highly popular especially with young readers. It is a multi-narrative novel that tells the story of the Duong family. Their ancestor Oanh left her marriage to go with a lover and so was cursed by a witch that she would never find love and happiness, nor will her descendants. The Duong sisters always gave birth to daughters and never to sons. Mai, the protagonist, is estranged from her own sisters and does not look at her three daughters as any good. But when she hears a prediction, that there will be the birth of a son in her family, she brings the whole family together and wants for change.

The story and concept is unique and there will definitely be a huge crowd waiting for such a show. The makers have not revealed which actors they intend to cast in the show.
