The Front Room Trailer: Brandy Takes On Her Evil Mother-In-Law

A24 has released a brand new trailer for its forthcoming psychological horror, “The Front Room”, starring Brandy Norwood and Kathryn Hunter. Alongside this duo, we will see talents like Andrew Burnap and Neal Huff. This project marks the feature directional debut of the Eggers Brothers, Max and Sam Eggers.

Inspired by Susan Hill’s short story, “The Front Room” tells the story of a young, pregnant couple forced to take in their husband’s evil mother-in-law, played by Kathryn Hunter. As the tension augments, the mother-in-law’s disturbing behavior escalates, leading Belinda (played by Brandy) to take a stand to protect her newborn child.

“Being cooped up with a newborn and a mother-in-law can drive anyone crazy,” says Brandy Norwood’s Belinda in the latest A24 trailer. Norwood returns to the horror genre with this movie after a long gap of over 30 years. She gained global prominence after starring in “I Still Know What You Did Last Summer” (1998). The singer-actress will be seen playing Cinderella in the upcoming Disney+ movie, Descendants: The Rise of Red, scheduled to arrive on the streaming platform on July 12.

The Eggers Brothers have co-helmed and co-written “The Front Room” with Susan Hill. Producers include Babak Anvari, Julia Oh, Bryan Sonderman, Lucan Toh, and David Hinojosa. It will come out in theatres globally on September 6, 2024. Stay tuned for more updates. Enjoy the trailer below!
