The Ghost On Netflix; Weird Aspect Ratio Observed Due To Bugs

The bug fest doesn’t seem to stop at Indian OTT. Multiple titles and the user experience too are getting hammered. Binged regularly points out such issues and today, another issue is being observed on a major title.

By the time of writing this article, the issue with Nagarjuna Akkineni’s The Ghost still persists on the Android app of Netflix India.

In case you remember, The Ghost was to stream on Netflix India from today itself. So it did in both Telugu and Tamil audios. But, there is a bug in the video playback of the movie.

The aspect ratio is inappropriate for watching the movie in a seamless manner. The bottom portion of the screen goes completely black while the left and right portion are also not showing the video with the margin decreasing as we move from bottom to top.

The movie seems to have been shrunk and pulled above. This doesn’t even sound nice, let alone viewing the actual movie.

This is how the movie is looking at the phone. Mind you that the black spaces are NOT notches in the phone but they are actually blank.

Many users have pointed out the issue in the playback of the video and even after several hours, the issue still persists.

We hope that Netflix recognizes this issue and fixes it as soon as possible for the best possible viewing experience for the audience.
