Apple Studios has unveiled the brand new trailer for Doug Liam’s forthcoming heist thriller, The Instigators. Matt Damon partners with Affleck again. Wait! The latter’s not Ben Affleck. This time, Damon will share the screen with Ben’s younger brother, Casey Affleck.
The movie follows Rory (Damon), a father down on his bad luck who teams up with ex-con Cobby (Affleck) out of frustration. The duo plans to steal funds from a corrupted politician. However, hell breaks loose and the duo must save their skin from not only the cops, but also underground crime lords and other crooked politicians. Out of nowhere, they both convice Rory’s therapist, Donna (Hong Chau), to join their mission.
The rest of the movie’s cast includes talents such as Paul Walter Hauser, Michael Stuhlbarg, Alfred Molina, Ving Rhames, Toby Jones, Jack Harlow, Ron Perlman, and more.
Liman has helmed “The Instigators”, whereas Casey Affleck and Chuck Maclean have written its story. Matt Damon and Ben Affleck serve as co-producers on this one via their production banner, Artists Equity. It will receive a limited US theatrical release on August 2.
