The Irishman is one of the biggest event movies is set to come out in the last quarter of the year. It features a cast that has been the dream of multiple generations of movie lovers. Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and Joe Pesci working under the direction of Martin Scorsese is a lifetime event for many.
However, despite such an extraordinary cast in place, it took years for The Irishman to take off. The original production backed out from the project due to the budget. The Irishman is a gangster drama which has lost the currency in the market. On top of that, Martin Scorsese’s vision of having Robert De Niro plays the character from the ’20s meant, many more additional millions.
It was only after Netflix came on board that The Irishman finally took off. A new trailer is out recently, which shows what a tremendous opportunity the originally intended makers had missed. But, what grabbed the attention was Robert De Niro’s various looks.
The legendary actor will be seen playing a character that starts from ’20s and ages on-screen through ’40s, and until the ’80s. A brand new cutting edge de-glam technology has been used to portray the role. Apart from the period setting, it is what has cost the makers a bomb on the project.
The Irishman hits the screens of the US in a limited number of theatres on November 1st. Later in the month, on November 27th, the gangster saga will have a worldwide streaming debut on November 27th. Check out the trailer below.
