The Jaw-Dropping Sum Sadhguru Charged For JLo’s ‘This Is Me Now’

All those who watched Jennifer Lopez’s latest movie ‘This Is Me….Now: A Love Story’, released yesterday on Prime Video, have been stumped by an astonishing special appearance in the film – that of the Indian spiritual guru, known simply as Sadhguru. The guru plays a super-interesting role in the movie. He is a member of the all-powerful ‘Zodiac Council’, and plays the lord of the zodiac sign, Pisces, in This Is Me…Now: A Love Story.

Sadhguru gives company to popular Hollywood celebs, Jane Fonda, Trevor Noah, Post Malone, Sofia Vergara, Keke Palmer, Jenifer Lewis, Kim Petras, along with outliers like himself, astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson and author and life coach, Jay Shetty. All of them play different zodiac signs in This Is Me…Now: A Love Story.

We don’t know about the others, but we do have some tea on the moolah charged by Sadhguru to make a cameo appearance in This Is Me…Now: A Love Story. As revealed by the diva in the upcoming Jennifer Lopez documentary ‘The Greatest Love Story Never Told’, Sadhguru charged a cool $200,000 for his cameo as Pisces in the movie.

Phew, quite a jaw-dropping sum for his less than one minute screen time in This Is Me…Now: A Love Story. It works out to be ₹16,601,601.99, or One Crore Sixty Six Lakh Rupees in Indian currency. The entire budget of This Is Me…Now: A Love Story is said to be $20 million.

Even as Pisces, Sadhguru is dressed as he always is, with no fancy thingamajigs hanging down his neck like they do for the other stars playing Zodiac signs. His dialogues too are wise and dignified, just like him. It is a cool move from the suave guru.

Pop diva Jennifer Lopez’s labour of love ‘This Is Me…Now: A Love Story’ began streaming on Prime Video from this Friday. The movie has received mixed reviews on social media, with some loving the fantastical drama and others hating it for being just an over-expensive ego trip for JLo.

For those who don’t know, Jennifer Lopez self-financed This Is Me….Now: A Love Story, pumping $20 million of her own money into the movie. Of course, Prime Video later acquired exclusive streaming rights for This Is Me…Now: A Love Story, for an undisclosed amount.

Interestingly, Jennifer Lopez has envisioned her passion project ‘This Is Me…Now’ as a three-part entity. The movie and the eponymous music album — Jennifer Lopez’s first in ten years — were launched yesterday. The third part of the project is a riveting documentary, ‘The Greatest Love Story Never Told’, which premieres on Prime Video on 27th February, a free-wheeling tell-all from Jennifer Lopez.
