‘The Kerala Story’ Teaser: Gut-Wrenching Tale Of 32,000 Girls!

Acclaimed filmmaker Vipul Amrutlal Shah has unveiled the teaser of his upcoming film ‘The Kerala Story’ that promises to tell a real, unbiased and true story. Helmed by Sudipto Sen, ‘The Kerala Story’ will release in theatres next year.

The Kerala Story’ teaser shows Shalini Unnikrishnan (Adah Sharma) narrating her story of how she wanted to be a nurse and serve people but instead got converted to Islam and is now an ISIS terrorist locked in Afghanistan’s jail.

She further tells how it’s not just her’s but the story of 32,000 girls who have gone through similar forced conversions and transformed into terrorists. And all this is happening in the open in the picturesque, highly literate southern Indian state of Kerala. Will nobody stop them?

‘The Kerala Story’ teaser is a no-nonsense, straight-to-camera, impactfully intriguing and hard-hitting one. The film will tell the painful story of these 32,000 women and will also try to uncover the truth behind the conspiracy.

Directed by Sudipto Sen, ‘The Kerala Story’ is based on a very sensitive issue but the makers have done an extensive and thorough research on the topic. Vipul Amrutlal Shah who is known for directing films like ‘Namaste London’, ‘Waqt’, ‘Aankhen’ and more, has produced the film through his Sunshine Pictures banner. Aashin A Shah serves as the co-producer of ‘The Kerala Story’.
