‘The Kissing Booth’ Star Joel Courtney & More Join Netflix’s ‘Players’

Netflix has added Liza Koshy (‘Work It’), Joel Courtney (‘The Kissing Booth‘) and Augustus Prew (‘Lord Of The Rings’) to the cast of its upcoming feature film ‘Players’. They will be joining previously announced Gina Rodriguez (‘Jane The Virgin’), Damon Wayans Jr. (‘Happy Endings’) and Tom Ellis (‘Lucifer‘).

‘Players’ on Netflix is the story of New York City sportswriter Mack (Gina Rodriguez) who has spent years devising successful hook-up “plays” with best friend Adam (Damon Wayans Jr.) and their crew, but when she unexpectedly falls head-over-heels for one of her targets (Tom Ellis), they all must learn what it takes to go from simply scoring to playing for keeps.

Trish Sie (‘The Sleepover’, ‘Pitch Perfect 3’) will direct Netflix’s rom-com ‘Players’ with Whit Anderson (‘Ozark’, Marvel’s ‘Daredevil’, ‘The Power’) serving as the screenwriter.

‘Players’ on Netflix is produced by Marc Platt and Ryan Christians for Marc Platt Productions and Ross Dinerstein for Campfire. Gina Rodriguez and Molly Breeskin for I Can and I Will Productions, Ross Girard for Campfire and Sophia Lin serve as executive producers for the film.
