The makers of the global sensation ‘The Last Of Us‘ have said that more than two seasons will be needed to carry the story further. The second season of the TV show was announced this January but the creators have stated that it will be a difficult job to cover the whole story of the video game ‘The Last Of Us: Part 2’ in one season of the sequel.
The second part of the popular video game is more complex and the story is longer and more complicated, so, more than one season will be needed to tell the story and meet the expectations of the newly made fan base and the pre-existing fandom of the game. The sequel of the game was released seven years after the original one. It came to PlayStation in the year 2020 and gained huge popularity.
Fans were not happy that the show ended so soon. It was big news for them that it will be renewed for a sequel, now that we know that it will be longer than one season, fans are more excited than ever.
The makers of the TV show, Craig Martin and Neil Druckmann have stated in an interview that as there will be many more character introductions, flashbacks and extensions, the sequel will definitely have more than one season.
Though we do not know the exact number, it will either be two or three. HBO has not officially announced anything on the matter but as the makers have teased the extension of the show beyond season 2, we can take their word and trust them.
Many characters will be returning. Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, Gabriel Luna and other actors will reprise their roles to continue the story and many new faces will be introduced too.
