After a hefty amount of down graded webseries, JioCinema might have struck gold with “Shiri”,a refreshing series which might bring back the attention towards JioCinema.
After “Miranda Brothers”, “Krispy Rishtey”, “Duss June Ki Raat Chapter 2”, “The Magic of Shiri” might be a good pick for JioCinema.
Directed by Birsa Dasgupta, “The Magic Of Shiri” stars Divyanka Tripathi, Jaaved Jaaferi, Namit Das and Parmeet Sethi.
Point to be noted not many series in JioCinema are female Centric, but with this show, and Divyanka as a lead might be a point of excellence.
With a pinch of mystery, charm, and a hint of supernatural intrigue. It’s a welcome shift for viewers who have been eagerly waiting for JioCinema to deliver something engaging and worthwhile.
If JioCinema continues with stories that have more prominent stories and compelling characters, we might see it emerge as a stronger contender in the OTT space.
Furthermore, this series follows the layered character of Shiri, whose story takes us through unexpected twists and multiple layers of emotions.
Facing financial struggles she decides to turn herself in as a stage magician, but a new career means new struggles.
What stands out is how Shiri manages to keep things lighthearted while exploring darker themes.
Whether “Shiri” satisfies the audience’s heart is for time to tell, but for now “The Magic Of Shiri” will be streaming on JioCinema Premium from 14th of November, until then let’s wait for the magic to begin.
