Eros Now has been picking contents carefully as they want to do something new as compared to it’s contemporaries. They recently released the web series Flesh which starred Swara Bhasker in the lead. Eros now is one of the oldest platforms in India and it looks like they are looking forward to producing more shows which can garner them success. They released the teaser for their upcoming movie Halahal which revolves around the suicide of a young woman of 23. The teaser suggested that there is more to the eye than it is meeting and raises the questions regarding the death of the girl, whether she was killed or what actually happened with her. In the official poster by Eros now we can see the father of the girl is posing with her dead daughter’s picture asking for the truth. These visuals are spine chilling and gut wrenching. This marketing blitz is innovative and is perfect to grab the attention of viewers.
Halahal was announced last year and the movie has been written by Syed Zeishan Quadri ( Gangs Of Wasseypur ) and the movie is set on the backdrop of Vyapam scam. Vyapam Scam was the scam which happened in Madhya Pradesh where the undeserved candidates got the seats for college by bribing the politicians and Vyapam officials. Also the officials used to alter the seating arrangements so that cheating could be done. With the alleged involvement of Mafia there were several cases of unnatural death of civilians and students. The story will highlight the same issue.
Barun Sobti will play the lead in the show as a brave cop. Sachin Khedekar is also their in the cast. The movie is being directed by Randhee Jha of Ugly and Raman Raghav 2.0. While it is produced by Eros Now, Syed Zeishan Quadri and Priyanka Bassi.
Makers have released an official teaser and we might expect a full fleged trailer for the film soon enough. No release date has been announced as of yet, with the trailer the date might arrive as well.
