OTT has opened gates for crazy subjects. The creative freedom they get ensures so much liberty to come up with interesting subjects with crazy methods of filmmaking. An independent Tamil film – The Mosquito Philosophy is one such film that will stream on Cinemapreneur from March 12th. Cinemapreneur is a pay-per-view OTT platform that curates the best of Indian independent cinema.

It is a film shot in 6 hours without any written scripts or dialogues and with no chance of retakes. The entire film has been shot impromptu with available lights. Another crazy part is that besides the lead actor Suresh and the director, no one among the cast and crew knew about the story.

However, the movie team still managed to create history as it is one of the films screened at the 18th Chennai International film festival in the Tamil cinema competition category along with the likes of Surya’s Soorarai Pottru and Vijay Sethupathy’s Ka Pe Ranasingahm.

The cross-generational story evokes several questions and strange consequences. Jayaprakash Radhakrishnan who previously directed LENS for Netflix has directed the film. Jatin Sanker raj is the producer and cinematographer for the film. He previously produced and directed quirky Tamil comedy ‘Odu Raja Odu’ which streams on Netflix.
