Disney+ has found a co-star for its Star Wars spin off series ‘Rogue One’ in Adria Arjona, as per news reports.
Arjona joins a spectacular cast that includes Diego Luna in the titular role of Cassian Andor and Alan Tudyk as his sidekick K-2SO along with Stellan Skarsgard, Kyle Soller Genevieve O’Reilly and Denise Gough.
The prequel to the ‘Rogue One’ film, revolves around the events that occurred in the initial days of the Rebellion against the Empire. The spy-thriller series will be written and directed by Tony Gilroy, who also served as writer for the ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ film.
The spin off series is a part of Disney+’s larger initiative to bring the Star Wars franchise forward. Other offerings that Disney+ has developed include the second season of ‘The Mandalorian’, a character spin off series on Obi-Wan and a ‘Clone War’ spin off series, ‘The Bad Batch’.
Although the details regarding their roles and much of the story is under wraps as of now, the series is one of Disney+’s highly anticipated shows.
