Netflix’s latest series ‘The Night Agent‘ is a certified hit for the platform. Ever since the espionage thriller series premiered on Netflix worldwide, it has been raking in viewing numbers, praise and accolades from all around. Both audiences and critics have given a thumbs up to the series.
It’s been merely five days since ‘The Night Agent’ debuted on Netflix – on March 23, specifically. And within the first few days, the series has raked in 168.7 million hours of viewing on Netflix. As per Netflix statistics, it is the third-best premiere week for any Netflix Original series in its first season. Only Wednesday (341.23 million hours) and Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story (196.2 million hours) rank higher than ‘The Night Agent’ in the viewing stats for the first few days after premiere.
Additionally, ‘The Night Agent’ has also landed on the Netflix Top 10 for series in 93 countries. Not just this, it is Number 1 on the Top 10 in 78 countries around the globe. The spy thriller series has certainly hit the sweet spot of audience appreciation for Netflix, something that is few and far between.
The Night Agent centres on an FBI agent, who has the job of monitoring an emergency line at the White House. One night, the FBI agent answers a call that plunges him into a deadly conspiracy involving a mole at the White House. The series is created by Shawn Ryan, based on the novel of the same name by Matthew Quirk, and is directed by Seth Gordon and Mallicent Shelton.
