Riding high on the success of the recent Indian version of ‘The Night Manager’ on Disney+ Hotstar, the team is now set to adapt two more John Le Carré novels for the Indian audience.
John Le Carré is well known for his twenty five espionage novels that are now managed by The Ink Factory. They have had various successful adaptations including the British version of ‘The Night Manager’.
While the details on the latest Indian adaptations of Le Carré novels have been kept under wraps for now it is known that one is in the later stages of development and the other in the early stages.
Just as the Indian version of ‘The Night Manager’ moved beyond the original show, these two new adaptations will also present the story in a contemporary and fresh manner and make it feel like it belongs to India, keeping in mind the cultural and emotional aspects.
Sandeep Modi, who created and directed ‘The Night Manager’ alongside his co-writer Shridhar Raghavan, will adapt the above mentioned two shows for the Indian audience. They will be produced by The Ink Factory. Modi had earlier also co-created ‘Penzoa’ adaptation ‘Aarya’ for Disney+ Hotstar.
Moreover, both Modi and The Ink Factory are also excited about a second season of ‘The Night Manager’ given there’s a lot of scope for that and also the amazing response the show has received but the decision now lies with Disney+ Hotstar if it wants to take it further.
