The Night Manager Season 2 In The Works With Tom Hiddleston Returning

Tom Hiddleston is returning as The Night Manager. According to Deadline, Season 2 of John le Carre’s adaptation is in the works at Amazon Prime Video and BBC. The on-screen Loki will portray the character of Jonathan Pine, a night manager in a hotel in Cairo and a former British military officer.

Deadline has also disclosed that the filming for the upcoming season will commence this year in London and South America under the code name of ‘Steelworks’. And it seems like the show may get a third season. However, both Amazon and BBC are yet to confirm this news.

Season 1 scribe David Farr returns to write the sophomore entry.

The debut season revolved around Jonathan Pine and his mission to penetrate the inner circle of Richard “Dicky” Onslow Roper, a dangerous arms dealer. He was recruited by Angela Burr, who was also investigating the case. Also, he gets involved with Roper’s love interest, Jed. Season 1 ends with Roper getting arrested by the Egyptian authorities. And Jed reaches an agreement to see her son in America. Pine promises her that he will come and see her again.

Season 2 of The Night Manager will open with Jonathan Pine learning that Roper met his maker two years ago. And a new and deadlier task is now awaiting him.

The Indian adaptation of the show, starring Anil Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur, was released this year on Disney+ Hotstar.

The filming of Tom Hiddleston’s The Night Manager Season 2 will commence later this year. Stay tuned for more updates.
