Both the versions of The Office, the English and Hindi ones, have managed to hog the limelight albeit for different reasons altogether. The former was a classic and the latter failed to stand tall amid the wave of criticism. Now, another series based on the advertising arena has its roots in this series.
The series titled Commercials will deal with the ‘awkward, weird, and surreal journey that turns an idea into a finished TV ad’, news portals have gone onto report. The six-episode series is being produced by a firm titled Community, known for its for such popular brands like Pizza Hut, Barnes & Noble, and T-Mobile.
The comic element in the series, alike The Office, will revolve around meetings, conference calls, budget negotiations, and research work that goes into an ad. The series is already live on Vimeo and can be tracked here (https://www.commercialstheseries.com/episodes).
