The second teaser for The Penguin, starring Colin Farrell, is out now. Following the events of The Batman (2022), the series explores the rise of Oswald “Oz” Cobblepot in Gotham City’s criminal underworld.
The latest clip shows Penguin “callin’ the shots” and trying hard to tear down Falcone’s empire from the inside out. Carmine Falcone’s death in The Batman opens the door for Cobblepot to take the entire Gotham City under his control. However, he faces resistance from Carmine’s daughter, Sofia (Cristin Milioti), who believes it is her time to rule the city. She also gets the support of her brother, Alberto Falcone (Michael Zegen), in her mission.
We also see Oz talking with Salvatore Maroni (Clancy Brown), a former mob boss and gangster whose operation came to an end after Carmine turned into an informant of GCPD. In addition, there is Michael Kelly, who plays Johnny Vitti, the underboss of the Falcone crime family.
Apart from these mentioned talents, “The Penguin” has performers like Rhenzy Feliz, James Madio, Jared Abrahamson, Carmen Ejogo, Theo Rossi, Mark Strong, Scott Cohen, and more. The first three episodes have been written and helmed by Lauren LeFranc and Craig Zobel, respectively. The series will come out on Max this September. Stay tuned for more updates.
