Producers from the ‘Lord of the Rings’ franchise and ‘The Amazing Race’ is coming up with ‘The Quest’, a innovative reality show contest set up in this fantasy land Everealm. Eight teenagers (Paladins) are summoned by fates to compete in a series of extreme challenges to safeguard their fictional land Everealm that is under the threat of the influential and corrupted Sorceress.The teenagers have to carry out an ancient prophecy to save the kingdom.
“If they fail, all will be lost. Heroes will rise, kingdoms with fall.”
‘The Quest’ previously was premiered on ABC for one season in 2014, but this time there will be an amalgamation of scripted and unscripted elements, making it more interesting. Disney+ will release this 8 episode series on May 11.
The executive producers are – Court Five’s Mark Ordesky (The Lord of the Rings) and Jane Fleming, David Collins, Michael Williams, Rob Eric (Queer Eye) under Scout Productions, and (The Amazing Race) cocreators Bertram Van Munster and Elise Doganieri, who run New Media Collective with Mark Dziak.
Fleming and Ordesky from Court Five stated:

We’re taking real people and putting them in a fully realized fantasy story, conceived and built by incredible artisans in every department. It’s an immersive, real-life hero’s journey for these eight normal teenagers, who transform before your very eyes. It’s an exciting new form of storytelling.”
